James Clerk Maxwell Room

James Clerk Maxwell RoomDirectly off the main entrance hall, this traditional space is suitable for meetings, seminars and small receptions. Dedicated to James Clerk Maxwell, a past Fellow of The Royal Society of Edinburgh and Scotland's greatest physical scientist, this peaceful room with cornicing and period marble fireplace contains original papers by Maxwell. A new addition to the room is a hologram of the James Clerk Maxwell Statue (by Alexander Stoddart) that was erected at the east end of George Street in November 2008.
